Home is a kick in the pants

I’m truly thankful that our new house has worked out. In 2003 my wife Luna literally had to nag me into house-hunting. What a chore! After West Seattle came up dry for us, we started looking at houses in the central core, coming up dry there too. We’d driven past our house 2 or 3 times on our way to other parts—it’s right along a main road—but had ignored it completely until Luna suggested that we take a look at least. The house didn’t grab me at first. We had to look in a couple three times more. Even then, I was still maybe only 70% there—I was in no pressing hurry to buy—when Luna finally pushed me into calling our agent about an offer.
