Office 12 technical preview

I’ll be on the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, Washington the next four days, attending a technical preview conference about “Office 12,” the next version of Microsoft Office. Yippee. I’ll be taking pictures of as many geeks as possible.

Update: I just saw an overview of the new GUI for Office and their new thinking in interface components. With no expectations going in, let’s just say that I was floored by what I saw. I’ve bellyached for years that, for all their releases of Office, Microsoft never really brought anything new to the table. Well, this time, I think, they really have. Office 12 is very different, and far more of a pleasure to use. Well done, Microsoft! Never thought I’d hear myself saying that.
