Lately, early September, 2005
Had a nice chat with my neighbor, Scott, at the Columbia City Farmer’s Market. He and his wife, Michaele, are mural painters and illustrators. Scott’s work is on the cover of the Sept 8—14th issue of The Stranger, the New Orleans issue.
Updated my Mom’s browser and anti-virus software. Her computer caught a virus somehow. I’d love to set her up with a Mac Mini.
Had a cappuccino from the Lloyd’s Rocket drive-thru. I hope that this funky addition to the Central District can thrive.
Got FAlbum friendly URLs working, thanks to a helpful netizen.
Installed Privoxy, SwitchProxy, and Tor. I had no idea that anonymous browsing could be this easy.
Installed the NoScript plugin for Firefox. Just another layer of protection.
Installed the SpotMilk Admin Theme for WordPress. Much lovelier than the homely, default, admin theme.
Installed the Kramer plugin for WordPress. I couldn’t tell you what it does in ten words or less, but the functionality it adds is impressive.
Added my site to GeoURL. I like to know who’s blogging nearby.
Registered for Sophie a domain name of her own, sophienguyen.org. Nothing to see there yet; move along.
Started using the Opera web browser again as an alternative to Firefox, my usual. Opera was always great, but is even better now.
I need warranty service for my Nikon D70; the built-in flash is busted, damn it.
